Six Star Whey Protein Plus Review

Six Star Whey Protein Plus is supposed to be a powerful, premium formula for athletes, bodybuilders, and trainers.

Six Star Whey Protein Plus is different than most protein powders because, besides using protein, it has creatine monohydrate and branched-chained amino acids. Together, all these ingredients are supposed to enhance your ability to build muscle, improve your workouts, and speed up recovery.

Will Six Star Whey Protein Plus be effective? How does it compare to Myotein and other high-quality protein powders? Is it a good value?

The Formula

It contains two higher-quality whey proteins (whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate); which is typical for protein powders, but some top-rated products like Myotein have more than 5 high-quality proteins. The protein in Six Star Whey Protein Plus has been clinically tested to provide more strength and muscle growth than lower quality proteins.

This product also contains branched-chained amino acids like valine, leucine, and isoleucine to quickly initiate protein synthesis. These fast-acting ingredients enable Protein Plus to start working soon after you take it.

Six Star Whey Protein Plus also boasts some creatine monohydrate to bump up levels of ATP. ATP allows muscles to lift harder and more vigorously thus breaking down and tearing more tissue.

This means more protein synthesis can be triggered and more protein from your supplement can be used to regenerate muscles. L-Glutamine is also included to preserve the muscles you add on.

Facts Per Serving

• 170 Calories
• 1.5 g of Fat
• 50 mg of Cholesterol
• 8 g of Carbs
• 2 g of Sugar
• 30 g of Protein

Six Star Whey Protein Plus has a similar ingredient profile to Myotein and other top protein powders. However, Six Star Whey Protein Plus is higher in calories, carbs, and protein.

Taste & Flavors

Six Star Whey Protein Plus comes in three flavors: Strawberry Cream Smoothie, Triple Chocolate, and Vanilla Cream. Users give the Triple Chocolate flavor a rating of 8.4 out of 10.

This product mixes well for most people, but several users did have problems with mixing and taste. I recommend putting 6-8 ounces water or milk into a blender and then adding the powder. Users say that is mixes and tastes best with milk or in smoothies.

How to Use It

I recommend taking 2 scoops (2 servings) of Six Star Whey Protein Plus a day. This will give you a little more than 100% of your Daily Value of protein. This product mixes best in milk or water, but you could add it to juice too. The best time to take it is in the morning, or before or after a workout.

Sometimes, Myotein and other protein powders are used as meal replacement shakes by people who want to lose weight. Six Star Whey Protein Plus may not be the best product for this because it contains creatine. Also, the manufacturer recommends taking it between meals and not as a meal replacement.

Will Six Star Whey Protein Plus Be Effective?

With 30 grams of protein per serving, Six Star Whey Protein Plus definitely has a powerful dose, but more is not always better. Your body can only process so much protein at once, and if you give it more than it can handle, the excess will get wasted.

Six Star Whey Protein Plus doesn’t have 50 grams of protein per serving, like Zero Carb Isopure does; but it has a little more than the leading protein powder Myotein (26 grams). So, Six Star Whey Protein Plus should be effective, but it may have a little more protein than is necessary in each serving.

Does Six Star Whey Protein Plus Cause Side Effects?

Six Star Whey Protein Plus is a safe protein powder. It doesn’t have any stimulants or harmful ingredients. However, it does have creatine monohydrate, which is known for sometimes causing bloating and stomach upset. The large dose of protein in Six Star Whey Protein Plus might also cause these side effects.

Where to Buy

Six Star Whey Protein Plus can be purchased in-stores or online from Walmart, GNC, Walgreens, and Bodybuilding.com; to name a few popular options. This product comes in one size (2 lbs). The lowest price I could find is $19.99 from Bodybuilding.com.

If you buy it on www.sixstarpronutrition.com, it costs $24.99. This site doesn’t seem to offer a money back guarantee and none of the other retailers I found did either. So, I suggest buying Six Star Whey Protein Plus from whichever retailer will give you the lowest price.

Conclusion

Six Star Whey Protein Plus uses a large amount of high-quality protein. And the added creatine and BCAAs make it a great choice for athletes and bodybuilders. It’s very cheap compared to other protein powders; which is good, but it puzzles me.

Myotein has 26 grams of high-quality protein in every serving and a 2.55 lb. container costs around $50 to $60. These prices are actually very typical of high-quality protein powders. Why is Six Star Whey Protein Plus so cheap? My guess is that it uses more lower-quality protein (whey protein concentrate) than higher-quality protein (whey protein isolate).

If you want a good, cheap protein powder, Six Star Whey Protein Plus would be a good choice. But if you want to look at higher-quality options, I recommend Myotein. For more information, visit www.Myotein.com.

I have tried several different protiens over the last 2 years. I have to say I am impressed with six star. I have heard people say its “generic” but if you look at the ingredients its pure, and what I like is the creatine and the BCAA’s that it contains. I do believe that you pay more for the name or advertising of other protiens. Give it a try I do not think you will be dissappointed

You can measure wgheit loss based not on how many pounds, but my what percentage of wgheit lossed to where you started. So if you started at 200 and lost 20, you lost 10%. You can do it by who loses the most percentage.orTake measurments and BMI. Most gyms will do this for you, so if you join one you can have them do it in the beginning and at the end to decide.Either bet money or eahc of you can contribute $50 and then buy a $100 gift certificate to a clothing store you each like. This way the winner can get some new summer clothes.

Creatine basically binds up the engery from carbohydrates and stores it in your muscles. That allows you to work out harder before your muscles fail.I’ve never heard any medical concerns about it, other than I think it can make you kind of nauseated when you take it. (sort of like how you would feel if you ate too much sugar or too much salt).I know it will make you bloat a bit when you first take it. The engery it stores binds to water. So you gain about 5 to 10 pounds of water weight within a couple of weeks.

Is my boyfriends ldibio lower because of steriods?SO my boyfriend is really into working out and he always drinks protein shakes and creatine all that stuff, about 2 months ago i found a bottle of tren and sus500 and i guess those boost your testosterone to very high levels? anyways i made him stop taking it becasue it’s bad for you and it made him very moody and irritable. He was only on the pills for about 2 weeks. well lately his ldibio has dropped WAY down. Its not hard for him to get it up its just hard for it to stay up. Obviously i’m not happy about this, so i talked to him about it last night and he thinks its becasue he was taking Tren and Sus 500 and never took an off cycle supplement that his testosterone levels still have not gone back to normal. But he was taking that stuff like 2 months ago, shouldnt his body gone back to normal by now? and if not what can we do about it? please guys help me out, just give me all the info you know about this stuff.and women does you boyfriend/husband take those prohormones? how do you deal with it?

P90X Help on what and where to buy all the extra stuff (vitamins, supplements, etc).?I’m siarttng P90X tomorrow and I am a poor college kid. I don’t want to buy all the extra stuff from Beach Body. It’s pretty expensive So my question is do you think what I have been researching will do the trick?I have seen that a good substitute for the recovery drink was nonfat chocolate milk with some creatine Also buy some whey powder and take that in the morning with multivitamins. But I am clueless .Does anybody have any suggestions on when to take this stuff and with what? Or what you use. Thanks also, I am a woman and already in athletic shape, looking to bulk up even more. So if you have any suggestions at all, what brand is good, where to buy it, etc.. please share.

How do you track who gets in shape the quickest for a bet?Hello,A woman I work with has been down on herslef lately because shes leaning towards the heavier side. Having felt a little on the pudgy side since boot camp I figured I would spark a little competition and bet bet her something on who could get in shape in 4 to 5 months time. Rules would be that we couldn’t use any GNC products or anything that would compromise integrity. This means that we would not be able to take creatine, any kind of steroids, no supplements, and we would have to stick to healthy foods (No burgers, fries, ice cream, chocolate). We’re pretty honest people so theres an understanding here. Our problem is actually coming up with a way to track this. We plan on tracking this someway each month and then after 5 months we’ll declare a winner. Winner of course takes whatever was put into the pot during the bet. What I need is ideas on how to track our fitness and what we should bet. We’ve realized that money is probably not a good thing to bet. We need something more worthwhile and enjoyable. Shoot some ideas out there for me!A1C H.

This why protein is extremely bad for your digestive system I don’t know how it’s still on the market… Finished my workout drank the triple choclate instantly with in seconds… nausea, stomach bloated and then came the vomitting… I’m not lactose intolerance at all. This product isn’t safe for human consumption and I wouldn’t even recommend it to my worst enemy.

I have used six star for a few years and never had any problem. I take it after my work out, my body and muscle tone looks pretty good for a 76 yr. old man.
