ON’s Platinum Hydrobuilder
ON’s Platinum Hydrobuilder is advertised as your complete muscle recovery and support system.
It does this by combing three different forms of protein that absorb at different rates for maximum utilization of protein synthesis and muscle repair.
ON also includes 13.5 grams of Essential Amino Acids (EAA’s), 5 grams of Creatine, 3.5 grams of Betaine, an Enzyme Blend to assist in digestion, Micronized BCAAs, Glutamine, Arginine, and Citrulline.
This looks impressive and comprehensive, so will ON’s Platinum Hydobuilder out-stack its prolific competition on today’s market?

How ON’s Platinum Hydrobuilder Works
Label Description: “Platinum Hydrobuilder is built on a foundation of staged-delivery proteins – from fast Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolates & Hydrolyzed Egg Albumen to slower Micellar Casein. It’s enhanced with CreaPep nutrient delivery peptides, BetaPower Natural Betaine and Micronized CreaPure Creatine. There’s over 13.5 grams of Essential Amino Acids, but only 180 calories per serving. For the ultimate comprehensive muscle constructor, build with the best: Platinum Hydrobuilder by ON.”
Conclusion
Three forms of protein are used in this blend, creating a thorough absorption of all protein involved. A mistake many protein blends make is doing too much protein at once–too quickly absorbed, as you see with whey-isolates. Energy is not as fast or as prominent with the slower-digesting forms of protein such as casein, and the in-betweeners are just that-in-between.
So this blend incorporates all three to suggest the best use and ingestion of protein. You get energy and repair quickly with the whey isolates, have time to absorb everything with the Egg protein, and then have sustained release energy and absorption with the casein. It’s a brilliant concept.
