Optimum Gold Standard 100% Casein Review

Optimum 100% Casein Protein is different than any other protein powder because it emphasizes the process of slow protein digestion, rather than rapid protein absorption.

The benefits of delayed protein absorption include a feeling of fullness, sustained release of amino acids and nutrients, and the prevention of muscle breakdown. Does Optimum 100% Casein Protein really have the ingredients necessary to give users these results?

What’s in the Formula?

A heaping scoop of Optimum 100% Casein Protein has 24 grams of casein protein. Casein protein has been proven to be effective in numerous studies. One study even showed that it has a positive effect on the body’s nitrogen balance as much as seven hours after ingestion.

Casein protein differs from normal whey protein because it is pH sensitive. It takes the body almost twice as long to break casein protein down into amino acid building blocks as other proteins. This helps to greatly extend the anabolic window after a workout and increases gains made from each workout.

Optimum 100% Casein Protein also has Leucine and Aminogen. Leucine is the only amino acid with the ability to stimulate muscle protein synthesis. It can also prevent catabolism and act as an appetite suppressant. Aminogen is a patented enzyme proven to increase amino acid levels in the body and boost nitrogen retention.

Are There Potential Side Effects?

Overall, I really like what I see with Optimum 100% Casein Protein. The ingredient composition is solid, natural, and safe as long as users take this protein powder as directed.

How to Use It

I recommend taking 1 scoop of Optimum 100% Casein Protein a day. With this dose, you’ll get 24 grams of casein protein, which is an effective amount. You can take this scoop at night, after a workout, or in place of a small meal. It mixes best with water or milk.

You could even mix Optimum 100% Casein Protein with Gold Standard Whey Protein. The first product is a great nighttime formula and the second is great for mornings. Or, you can blend the products together to get the benefits of both slow and fast-absorbing proteins at the same time.

Who Should Use It

Although Optimum 100% Casein Protein is designed to improve muscle growth and recovery, it could be used by anyone looking for a high-quality protein supplement. In fact, this protein powder would be great for someone who wants to lose weight because it should promote feelings of fullness longer than other types of protein.

What Do Reviews Say?

The majority of people who use Optimum 100% Casein Protein say it’s the best they’ve tried and they would recommend it. Many users said the best time to use this protein powder was right before bedtime because it provides the body with fuel during the night, when it would otherwise go on empty. The only complaints I found were that it doesn’t always mix well and some flavors aren’t very good.

How Much Does It Cost?

Optimum has a reputation for making high-quality products. Unfortunately, this means they’re not cheap. Two pounds of Optimum 100% Casein Protein costs between $33 and $45. Or you can get 4 pounds for $56 to $75. Click here for the lowest prices.

The official website accepts returns of products purchased from them. However, you have to return it within 30 days and 75% or more of the product must be unused.

The Skinny

Optimum 100% Casein Protein is quite an impressive product. It works well for preserving muscle because of the slow-release protein, and it would make a great meal replacement product. It may not be the cheapest source of casein protein, but most users would agree that it’s the best. I definitely recommend giving Optimum 100% Casein Protein a try.

If you’ve tried Optimum 100% Casein Protein before, I would love to hear your comments and advice.

Did it really work for you? Yes, i agree that priteon do help in building muscles but you need take it in moderation. Also, reducing carbs can definitely help you reduce your weight. It becomes difficult to loose weight with age because your metabolism slows down, and you are not buring as many calories as you used to do when you were young.

I couldn’t agree more about portein staying with you longer, and hence making you feel full longer. I have had recent success with eating small amounts of food every 2 hours or so. It speeds up your metabolism and keeps you from feeling like your starving yourself. I wish you continued success!

Any type of protein will stop you from feenilg hungry as soon as other food types. It’s scientifically proven that the consumption of protein releases a chemical in your brain to make you not feel hungry. I think it’s something to do with it taking longer to digest. Anyway eggs or fish for breakfast, should mean no mid morning snacking!

I have to agree that the key is to find ways to increase your msoibtlaem. Starving yourself or going on crazy diets has the opposite effect. Staying active and eating a lot of (healthy/lean protein) foods keeps your msoibtlaem going. The only way to keep a fire burning is to keep feeding it wood!

I recently read that peas are relaly high in protein so if you eat a bowl of pea and mint soup before your main meal you will tend to eat less! And, you probably won’t have room for dessert either!
